Capital Lands Improved Tanker Charter Option
zoom Athens-based owner of tanker, dry bulk and container ships Capital Product Partners has agreed on a 12-month charter extension for its 36,721 dwt chemical/product tanker Alkiviadis at an improved daily rate. The 2006-built tanker, employed by CSSA S.A., a fully owned subsidiary of Total S.A., will bring Capital USD 15,125 per day starting from September 2015, a USD 1,000 more compared to the vessels current daily rate. The earliest charter expiration of the extension is August 2016. As a result of the above time charter extension, Capitals charter coverage for 2015 and 2016 is 90% and 70%, respectively.
